August 20, 2012 12:37PM — A news flash was aired, searching the DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo and his men, several days after the six-seater Piper Seneca crashed into the sea some 500 meters away from the Masbate City Airport runway.
Only Sec. Robredo’s aide, Police Chief Inspector Jun Abrazado, was rescued by a fisherman after the crash. Secretary Jesse Robredo, the plane pilots Captain Jessup Bahinting and Nepalese co-pilot Kshitiz Chand are still missing up to this very moment.
As of publishing, a Search and Rescue (SaR) operation “Kalihim” was re-commenced in the hope of finding the Secretary of the Department of Interior and Local Government, spearheaded by the President Benigno S. Aquino himself. Sec. Robredo’s brother, a person with disability (PWD) joined the team despite the fact that he is of no use to the operations. Rumors are spreading that the exact crash site was already located that is why the brother opted to join the retrieval mission.
The Secretary’s daughter is still positive that Sec. Jesse Robredo is still alive, along with the pilots. However, Butch, the elder brother of Sec. Jesse, is realistic.
