How to hide HTTP_REFERER from any landing page

url masking

In some point of our internet lives we have to hide the Referring URL (HTTP_REFERER) value to a website landing page. That technique is called Link Cloaking, which prominently used in affiliate marketing.

If you are not a web developer, you can use services like Referer or Spoofurl. If you want to tinker with the codes, then the snippet provided below can prove useful:

<script>
function go(){
window.frames[0].document.body.innerHTML=’

‘;
window.frames[0].document.forms[0].submit()
}
</script>
<iframe onload=”window.setTimeout(‘go();, 99)” src=”about:blank” style=”visibility:hidden”></iframe>

Note: Although working, most browsers undergo improvements which can render the script useless. So while working, use it!
