How to locate and activate wifi / wireless switch

Nowadays its a must for laptops to have a wireless connection, commonly termed “WiFi”. Having wifi connection is great, you can check your e-mails from a coffee shop, on the plane terminal, or even on a hotel. Its okay if the wireless port is activated 24/7, that the operating system will just detect hot spots where available.

But most of the time, the wireless port are turned off for reasons of security, and to conserve battery power. Unluckily, most of us don’t know where and how to activate the wireless port. Below are just some of the common laptop brands, and the step how to activate it.
